This story is from She Skates Hard (

Any feelings on who should be the first woman inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame?
Here's the story:
Cammi Granato wants to see a woman in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.
The two-time Olympian said that if women are elected to the 35-year-old organization that reopened Saturday in Eveleth, Minn., there's a fear the Hall "will be diluted because there are so many more people going into the Hall of Fame."
The Hall features 132 male members and two men's teams - the 1960 and 1980 Olympic squads, which won gold medals. The 2008 class will be inducted Oct. 10 in Denver.
"Women belong in the Hockey Hall of Fame," said Granato, who led the U.S. to a gold medal at the 1998 Nagano Games and a silver at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games. "It's not just an NHL hall of fame. It's international. It needs to be done."
Dave Ogrean, executive director of Colorado Springs-based USA Hockey, said Granato's induction this year to the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame strengthens the case for women in the U.S. Hall.
"It is a regular topic of discussion," he said. "I think it's probably going to happen sooner than later."
