First Day of the Tournament............ First game as a U16 Vermont Star!!!!
Today we came to Marlboro, Massachusetts for a hockey tournament. Us (the Vermont Stars), the New Jersey Quarry Cats, and the Massachusetts Lady Flames in our U16 bracket. On our way there, my dad stopped at Target and gave us each three dollars to buy something completely pointless. Chelsea, who came with us for the weekend, and I both agreed on buying these purple monster hand puppets, which you will see as soon as I can load the picture are completely pointless, haha(:
When we got to the rink we unloaded the car and then my dad had us go back out to the parking lot.
He made Chelsea and I some pasta to eat along with some apples so we would be ready to go.
The tournament is at the New England Sports Center.
Our U12's and U14's are here as well.
The U12's won both their games including a 1-0 win over The CT. Polar Bears and the last I knew the U14's had won their first game.
This is going to be my first game on the U16 team.
In our first game we played the New Jersey Quarry Cats, and beat them 2-0. The goals were scored by both Olivia Foshay and Chelsea Stanclift. Our team agreed that it wasn't our best game we could have played, but it was our first game as a team, so we all understood that we'd play better next game, Which we did. Before our game, Bauer was giving out demos for X60 sticks, and our whole team decided to demo them. We really liked them, as they were really light, and we won the game 3-1. The goals were scored by Chelsea, Mckenna Hayes, and Amanda Schwartz on an empty net goal. After the game, we signed our sticks back in, and found out that we can use them tomorrow for our games, as well. I'll write again after our games tomorrow! Because it's time to go to bed because we have to wake up around six tomorrow morning for our 7:40 game.
